A meeting point in the historic Stone Town of Unguja, Zanzibar, the CMC has blossomed since its days as part of the youth organisation of the Afro Shirazi Party in 1956. The club has become the most successful orchestra of Zanzibar, glorifying the venerable taarab music that is inextricably linked to the Indian Ocean.
